MINUTES OF SPECIAL
MEETING WORKSHOP ON THE STORMWATER ORDINANCE
A joint meeting of the Emerald Isle Council and Planning Board was held on January 14, 2002 at 10 AM. Members of Council in attendance were Mayor Art Schools, Commissioner Dick Eckhardt, Commissioner Emily Farmer, Commissioner Pat McElraft, Commissioner Dorothy “Doje” Marks and Commissioner Floyd Messer; members of the Planning Board in attendance were Chairman Anne Erikson, Phil Almedia, Ed Dowling, George McLaughlin, Frank Erwin, Art Daniels; members of the town staff in attendance were Town Manager Frank Rush, Town Clerk Carolyn Custy, Inspections Department Head Carol Angus. ABSENT was Planning Board member Pat Patteson. The purpose of the meeting was to review the Storm Water Management Ordinance prepared by the Planning Board. Public comments were received from Clint Routsen of Ward and Smith Attorneys in New Bern and Joe Donnehoo . The proposed ordinance was reviewed section by section, and changes/deletions/additions were made as agreed by the group.
