The League of Women Voters of Carteret County (LWVCC) and the Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a candidate “Meet and Greet” reception for the candidates running off in the primary elections this spring.

This reception will be Tuesday, April 17th from 6:00-7:30 pm at Bryant Student Center at Carteret Community College. This reception will be a meet and greet format with no formal question and answer period. Candidates will be introduced at the beginning of the reception. This will provide everyone the opportunity to meet individually with each candidate and get to know them. This is also open to the community and appetizers will be served.

“To vote, it is important to learn where each candidate stands on the issues.  These forums help the citizens in Carteret County learn about their candidates and how they feel about the important issues facing their communities. To fully engage in the voting process, it means to know who you are voting for and go to the polls to cast your vote”, states Carol Geer, President, LWVCC.
