Linda Bright Toth will display her art at Emerald Isle
Parks & Recreation, 7500 Emerald Drive during the month of March. Artist Linda
Bright Toth grew up in Eastern North Carolina. She lived, worked and raised a
family in Chesterfield, VA. After a 25 year career with the Federal Government
in Richmond, VA, she and her husband moved to Snow Hill, NC. In October of 2008
she moved to Emerald Isle and fulfilled her lifelong dream of living at the
beach.
After retirement in 1998, she began pursuing art through
classes, workshops and online classes. She continues to pursue art instruction
in all media. Oil and acrylics are her two main interests, but she has done
some pen and inks and a few pastels. Linda has also painted murals for a
boutique in Kinston, NC and has been commissioned for various other paintings.
Linda describes herself as a representational artist that
dabbles in abstracts and says that she creates art to inspire and uplift the
viewer, and has no interest in art that shocks or offends. Her main subjects
are old barns and houses, beach scenes, landscapes and anything vintages.
Linda Bright Toth art reception will be on Friday, March
5th in the lounge of Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation, 7500 Emerald Drive from
5-7pm.
