Linda
Anderson’s art work will be on display during the month of August in the
lounge of Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation, 7500 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle.
Linda says, “After making a name for myself as a fish
monger and a boat builder’s other ¾, I decided that I needed to take on another
challenge. Thinking it over with a “Lawng Eyeland” ice tea, my priorities
(believe it or not), were clarified. I was inspired by my playful and creative
grand children gaining the ability to view the world through their eyes. I was
adopted by a stray cat named “Shim”. (she or him, I wasn’t sure). But
something I was sure of was my love for art, for it allows me to express all of
who I am….wife, mother, grandmother, organizer, tennis player, ARTIST.”

Marsha
Deane’s artwork will be on display during the month of September in the lounge

Marsha attended Moore College
of the Arts in Philadelphia. A southern-born lady, but raised in Pennsylvania,
she rediscovered her art after moving to North Carolina 12 years ago.

her more time to pursue her love of painting. She likes to paint the coastal
environment that she sees around her: the ocean, the sound, wildlife, and pets.
She is a contemporary realist and strives to paint realism with emotion. She
