Community Center

Located on Leisure Lane adjacent to Town Hall (at 7500 Emerald Drive, directly across the street from Emerald Isle Realty), the Community Center is a place where you and your family can re-create yourselves! The Center is open Monday-Friday, 8am-9pm from Labor Day to Memorial Day, and 8am-8pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day; on Saturdays, 9am-4pm; closed on Sundays. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

(Directions: The Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation Department Community Center is located on Leisure Lane. From Emerald Drive (Hwy 58) turn north (toward the sound) onto Leisure Lane which is directly across from the Emerald Isle Realty Office at Mile Marker 19, the Center is at the bottom of the hill on the left, basketball and tennis courts on your right. )

Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation will begin accepting 2012 membership applications online and onsite starting on Monday, January 2nd.

Aerobics/Yoga Program: A class for every “body!” Offering a wide variety of aerobics classes including some Yoga! Call 252.354.6350 for more info!

Exercise Room: A comfortable, wood-paneled room equipped with everything you need to get a great cardiovascular & resistance workout: 5 lower body resistance machines, 4 upper body resistance machines, 1000+ lbs. of free weights, a Smith machine, 3 treadmills, 3 elliptical cross-trainers, 4 stationary bikes (including a recumbent bike), an inversion table, various sized Swiss (exercise) Balls, and Body Bars in a multitude of weights. Exercise room for ages 16 and up only.

Indoor Gymnasium: A spacious indoor gym with a collegiate-size basketball court used for league and open-play basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, dodgeball, dance classes and much more. Indoor gymnasium maximum capacity is 1084 person.
- Rental rates for the indoor gymnasium are as follows: Non-profit groups $50 per hour (minimum 2 hours/maximum 4 hours). For profit groups can rent the gymnasium for $100 per hour (minimum 2 hours/maximum 4 hours). Contact 252.354.6350 to discuss your event rental.
Lounge and Conference Room: Need an area to enjoy some time relaxing with friends while awaiting classes, programs or events? Need a small conference area for your card game, board meeting, catching up or reading? Our sizeable lounge and game room provides just that and more. Accommodates small groups for meetings or classes. The lounge and conference room are available during regular Community Center hours.
- Rental rates for the lounge and conference room are as follows: Non-profit groups holding an annual membership pass to the community center free for two hours of use. Non-profit groups without an annual membership pass to the community center $25 for two hours of use. For profit groups, regardless of membership status, $30 per hour of use.
