Club Meetings

AA:  Saturdays at 8PM at the Town Board Meeting Room.

Art Club: Artists and the artistically aspiring meet on Wednesday from 1-3pm at Emerald Isle Community Center to critique, create and converse.  All are welcome.

Community Woodworkers’ Club: 1st Thursday of each month at 7pm in the Town Board Meeting Room. All levels are welcome.  Neither tools nor woodshop are required.  

Emerald Isle Philately (Stamp) Club: 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00pm in the Town Board Meeting Room; for more information call 354-5127.

Emerald Isle Supper Club:  3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30pm in the Town Board Meeting Room; please bring a covered dish.  Everyone is welcome!

Explorer Post 2010, a Boy Scouts of America, Learning for Life program: Emerald Isle EMS, Inc. sponsors this program that provides high school youths, ages 14-21, the opportunity to learn about different career fields.  Post 2010 participants are introduced to the knowledge and skills required for pre-hospital emergency medical care, including a "ride-a-long" ambulance program.  Meetings are held at 6:00 pm, the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, at Emerald Isle EMS, 7600 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle, NC 28594.  Contact Joe Quigley or Blake Young at (252) 354-2249 for more info!

Guitar Players Meeting:  Are you interested in meeting other guitarist and playing together?  Contact Russ Johnston at 919.606.9956 or russjohnston21@gmail.com  for details and information. Club will meet at Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation Community Center, 7500 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle.

Homemakers Club:  1st Wednesday of each month at 9am in the Town Board Meeting Room; all are welcome.  

Knitting Group:  If you are interested in joining a knitters group, please contact Anne at 354-3659.

Beginner Knitting Class for Teens:
February 27-  April 2 from  3:30 – 5:30pm.  This six week class is aimed at teens aged 13 -18 who would like to learn basic stitches, learn to read patterns and understand knitting nomenclature. Simply bring your size 8 or 10 needles - needles can be provided for a fee of $10 - otherwise, classes are free. Yarn will be provided unless you have a 4-ply yarn that you are particularly interested in using.  Students will be learning to make a scarf or simple purse. Quilters Group:  3rd Wednesday of each month from 1-4pm in the Town Board Meeting Room; always accepting new quilters of all levels.  

Scrapbooking Workshop:  You are invited to join Linda Phelps, Creative Memories consultant, on the second Saturday of each month from 10am to 1pm for a Scrapbooking Workshop in the arts & crafts room at Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation Community Center, 7500 Emerald Drive.  Workshop fee is $5; work space, snacks and use of all the Creative Memories tools included.  Pre-registration required.  Workshop is open to ages 12 and up.  Call Linda to at 910-326-6164 or email rphelps@ec.rr.com to register.
