Post 2010, a Boy Scouts of America, Learning for Life program: Emerald Isle
EMS, Inc. sponsors this program that provides high school youths, ages 14-21,
the opportunity to learn about different career fields. Post 2010 participants
are introduced to the knowledge and skills required for pre-hospital emergency
medical care, including a "ride-a-long" ambulance program. Meetings are held at
6:00 pm, the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, at Emerald Isle EMS, 7600

Knitting Group:
If you are interested in joining a knitters group, please contact Anne at

Beginner Knitting Class for Teens:
February 27- April 2 from 3:30 – 5:30pm. This six week
class is aimed at teens aged 13 -18 who would like to learn basic stitches,
learn to read patterns and understand knitting nomenclature. Simply bring your
size 8 or 10 needles - needles can be provided for a fee of $10 - otherwise,
classes are free. Yarn will be provided unless you have a 4-ply yarn that you
are particularly interested in using. Students will be learning to make a
scarf or simple purse. If you are interested in registering for this class,

Quilters Group:
3rd Wednesday of each month from 1-4pm in the Town Board Meeting Room; always accepting new quilters of all levels.
Scrapbooking Workshop:
You are invited to join Linda Phelps, Creative Memories consultant, on the
second
Saturday of each month from 10am to 1pm for a Scrapbooking
Workshop in the arts & crafts room at Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation
Community Center, 7500 Emerald Drive. Workshop fee is $5; work space, snacks
and use of all the Creative Memories tools included. Pre-registration
