Sculpture
Calling all children
in second grade and above. You are
invited to sign-up for an art class that is fun and educational; sign-up for
Kids Summer Art Smart with Joyce Trafton! Classes are 4 days a week; M,T,W,R
from 9am to 12pm. Fee is $75.00 (per child/per session) with a discount for
the second child of the same family. Fee includes all materials, except
where noted. Sculpture focuses on sand casting, paper and cloth sculpture.

Drop-In Belly Dancing
Emerald
Isle Parks and Recreation’s Free One Time Only Drop-In Belly Dancing Lessons. An introductory belly dancing
class offering the perfect opportunity to have fun and meet new people! This
free one time only class will be held on Tuesday, July 29th from
6-7pm and 7-8pm at Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation’s Community Center, 7500
Emerald Drive in Emerald Isle. Classes take place in the aerobics room of the
community center. All ages are encouraged to attend. This is a wonderful way to
get in shape and have fun at the same time! Atmosphere will be relaxed,
comfortable and fun. Students will dance barefoot. Wear comfortable attire,
belly tops optional. Class focus will vary, depending on the participants.
Please note: This class is not a make-up class for students already enrolled in
the beginner or intermediate belly dancing class. There is no fee for the
drop-in class. You must fill-out a registration/liability waiver before the
start of the class. Contact Laura Lee Davis for a registration form and
liability waiver or come at 5:55pm or 6:55pm to fill-out the paperwork.

Tournament location: Western Ocean Regional Access,
Islander Drive, Emerald Isle. This is an "open gender" series and players
must be at least 16 years old. Pre-registration is required (no game day
registration). Team fee is $55 per team with prize money going to the top
two teams (70% to first place; 30% to second place). Teams must bring their
own ball and will act as officials when not playing. Note: officiating may
be required after elimination. There are no rain dates and refunds
will be issued for bad weather.
FIVB/EI beach rules apply. For registration, payment and general

6th Annual Gordie McAdams Speckled Trout Surf Fishing
Tournament
Sponsored by Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation and the Reel Outdoors will
run from October 18th thru November 29th. Registration is $15 per
person and includes a free t-shirt and fabulous prizes.
Pre-registration is required and the deadline is Wednesday, October 15th at
5pm. Registration forms may be obtained from the Emerald Isle
Community Center located at 7500 Emerald Drive or the Reel Outdoors.
All trout must be caught by fishing on foot (surf, pier, inlet, sound) on
Bogue Banks from Emerald Isle to Fort Macon. Fish caught from boats
are not eligible for weigh in. All fish weighed in become tournament
property and will not be returned to the angler. The official weigh
station is the Reel Outdoors at 7802 Emerald Drive. For more
