Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation Community Center, Leisure Lane, Emerald Isle, NC
Infant massage is simple, easy to learn and effective. Infant massage classes are a fun way to learn how to soothe your baby, relieve tummy upsets, learn to understand your baby’s non-verbal language and much, much more. Classes are informal, relaxed and are small enough (6 parents/children per session) to ensure you get the personal attention you need. The instructor, Susan Van Guilder, MS Ed., is certified with the US Chapter of the International Association of Infant Massage and has over 15 years of experience with children with and without special needs across learning environments. The lessons last 45 minutes and will be held on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am and Wednesday evenings at 5:00pm from June 13th–August 9th in the Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation Community Center lounge located at 203 Leisure Lane in Emerald Isle. The cost is $15 for 1 Introduction to Massage Class or $50.00 for a series of 4 Infant Massage Classes (over a 4 week period) and includes one small bottle of organic oil for massaging and a IAIM infant massage instructional manual. If you want to try a class and decide to continue with the full series, you may apply the cost of the first class to the session. Bring an extra receiving blanket, yoga mat, or a pillow either for you to sit on or to prop up your baby along with your normal diaper bag items.
