The Town of Emerald Isle’s joint meeting of the Emerald Isle Board of Commissioners and the Emerald Isle Planning Board scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 4:45 pm in the Emerald Isle Community Center Lounge has been CHANGED.  The Joint Meeting between the Emerald Isle Board of Commissioners and the Emerald Isle Planning Board will now take place during the regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners Meeting on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 beginning at 6:00 pm.  A presentation will be made by Town staff on the draft Unified Development Ordinance. The public is hereby advised and may attend the meeting for further information.

Public Hearing

The Town of Emerald Isle Board of Adjustment will hold public hearing on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. in the Emerald Isle Community Center located at 7500 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle, NC.  The purpose of the hearing is to consider a request submitted by Bruce Rogers, on behalf of John C. and Terri B. Smith, for a variance to Section 19-336, Paragraph (1), c., of the Town Code.  The property is located at 5709 Beach View Lane.  The request is for a variance to the required minimum natural area of 35%.   The public is hereby informed and asked to attend.  The variance request may be reviewed in the Department of Planning and Inspections at Town Hall, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
