11th Annual Emerald Isle Christmas Parade


Emerald Isle Christmas Parade sponsored by the Emerald Isle Business Association and the Town of Emerald Isle will take place on Saturday, November 29th beginning at 3pm on Hwy 58, Emerald Drive. Important note to all entrants: There will be only ONE Santa Claus in the parade and he will be riding in a float at the end. All other Santa’s will be sent back to the North Pole! Also, please join us after the parade for the official Christmas Tree Lighting at Merchant’s Park! Enjoy free refreshments, as well as a holiday caroling sing-a-long as Santa Claus visits with the children. To enter, contact Don Wells at 252-772-3282 or donaldjwells@gmail.com .

3rd Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair
Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation Gymnasium


On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation will host our 3rd Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair in the Gymnasium. The Fair will feature all handmade or hand-authenticated items from local artisans and crafters. This is also the weekend of our annual Christmas Parade which is the kick-off to the holiday season here in Emerald Isle. There is no application deadline but space is limited and expected to fill up quickly.

Supper Club of Emerald Isle takes place at the Town Board Meeting Room next to the Police Department, 6:30-8pm, Pot-luck buffet. Hosts are Ron and Doje Marks. “Bring a dish; get a feast.” Casual attire. All Emerald Isle residents and their guests welcome. This is an annual Toys for Tots event. Bring a wrapped toy and join the fun with the reading of “Night Before Christmas” as well as passing and opening of the gifts followed by packing the unwrapped gifts for delivery to Toys for Tots. Emerald Isle Philately (Stamp) Club


Interested in Stamp Collecting? The Emerald Isle Philately (Stamp) Club welcomes new members!

The Emerald Isle Philately (Stamp) club has been an active club meeting in Emerald Isle for 22+ years. The group meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00pm in the Town Board Meeting Room, 7500 Emerald Drive (located in the Emerald Isle Police Department building next to the water tower - entrance is through the rear doors and then through the double doors to the right).

The Emerald Isle Philately Club is the only stamp club within 50 miles. The club is a member of the American Philatelic Society, as well as The United Stamp Society.

Members may buy from these circuits. The club gets a new batch each month. Most meetings have no set time to end. For more information please call George Kukhorn at 252-354-5127.

Santa and a Movie will take place on Friday, December 12th at 6pm • Children of
all ages join Santa for a Christmas story after enjoying milk and cookies and watching a short Christmas movie classic! Kids are encouraged to wear their most comfy Christmas pajamas! Please bring a blanket for your family to sit on during the movie! Event takes place at Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation, 7500 Emerald Drive. Admission fee is one unwrapped gift per child. You MUST pre-register by Thursday, December 11th at 5pm to attend. Reservations will be accepted beginning November 1st. Only 75 (children) spaces available! PEP Program (Police Educating the Public)

The Emerald Isle Police Department is proud to introduce the PEP program to Emerald Isle. The PEP program, or Police Educating the Public, will be a series of one hour classes presented on the third Tuesday of every month in the Town Board Meeting Room at 10:00am. These classes will cover a variety of subjects relevant to issues being faced by communities across the country. Our goal with this program will be to increase public awareness, as well as, provide education and tips on how you can prevent yourself from becoming vulnerable to these issues. Our vision for this program is that by putting a little "PEP" in our community, we can reduce criminal activity and prevent our citizens from becoming the next victim. Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation Offers Soccer Shots™

Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation is currently accepting registration for Soccer Shots™. Soccer Shots is an innovative program that emphasizes both soccer skills and character skills by using imaginative soccer games that kids love.

Soccer Shots™ will be offered to children ages 3-5 at Emerald Isle Parks & Recreation, 7500 Emerald Drive. Soccer Shots™ will take place on Wednesday from 1:00pm-1:35pm beginning January 14th and finishing March 4th. The fee is $80 per child and includes 8 weeks of professionally designed lessons in coordination, teamwork, character development, physical skills and fun. No gear is needed to participate. “Soccer Shots is a program offered to children 2-8 that meets once a week at daycare centers, schools, and parks throughout the city to introduce your child to soccer!
