SUBJECT: Capital Project Ordinance – Golf Cart Infrastructure Improvements
The Board of Commissioners is asked to approve the attached capital project ordinance to formally establish a multi-year project account to reserve funds for future golf cart infrastructure improvements. The attached capital project ordinance formally appropriates a total of $18,000 to the new fund.
As discussed during the FY 18-19 budget process, the Board directed staff to reserve any golf cart registration fees that exceed $50,000 annually for future golf cart infrastructure improvements. The FY 18-19 General Fund budget anticipates a total of $68,000 in golf cart registration fees, and includes an $18,000 transfer to the new capital project fund. Future golf cart infrastructure improvements will be determined by the Golf Cart Advisory Committee and the Board of Commissioners.
I recommend approval of the attached capital project ordinance.
