Steve Finch was first elected as Commissioner in November 2015 for a four-year term, and has since been re-elected.
He was born in Goldsboro, NC in 1951. He began his career in the electrical industry after graduating from Cary Senior High School. After years of training and classes, he achieved an Unlimited Electrical Contractors license in the State of North Carolina. Finch Electrical Service, Inc. in Raleigh, NC, was owned and operated by Steve for 32 years.
Steve currently serves on the board of the Morehead City Police Crime Stoppers, EI. Neighborhood Watch, and is an active member of Emerald Isle Baptist Church.
Steve and his wife, Robin, have called Emerald Isle home since retiring in 2006. He has a son, Craig, and two grandsons, Colin and Aaron, who live in Clayton, NC. He enjoys playing golf in his spare time.
