Saturday, June 17, 2017 All Day
The Alzheimer's Association Longest Day will take place in Emerald Isle on Saturday, June 17, 2017. The Emerald Isle Sea Turtle Crawl is a sunrise to sunset event to raise funds and awareness about Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of death and affects over 160,00 North Carolinians.
For the 4th year in a row they will be walking the beach relay fashion from early morning until sunset carrying a large purple flag that says END ALZ! To end the day at 8:00pm they will be having a sunset ceremony at the Point. Please join in making a difference to #endalz!
