Position: Customer Service Representative
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Part-time
Pay Grade: 12 ($13.28hr)

The Emerald Isle Police Department is accepting applications for a Customer Service Representative to work in the front office of the police department.  This position performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of the department to include:  performing routine administrative and clerical tasks and duties assigned including typing, filing and answering the phone, responding to requests for information, receives, enters, researches, and assimilates data in a records management system and other database systems; and, performs a variety of related duties involved in the maintenance of highly confidential records; serves as the receptionist for the department and greets and provides quality customer service, information and assistance to the public.  Work schedule is primarily evenings and weekends. The Town of Emerald Isle is seeking applicants for the positions of part-time Police Officer.  Applicants must be 21 years of age, be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D.  Applicant must also be a graduate of BLET, and possess or be eligible for N.C. Job Title:  Seasonal Laborer
Department:  Public Works
Position Information:  Part-time Seasonal

The Emerald Isle Public Works Department is seeking self-motivated and outgoing individuals for the position of Seasonal Laborer (1).  Duties for this position involve performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, litter pick-up, building and vehicle maintenance, beach maintenance, street and right-of-way maintenance. Individuals should be able to perform these duties with minimal supervision. Individuals should appear clean and professional. Required workweek includes weekends. Valid NC driver’s license and clean driving record required. Ability to consistently lift 50+ pounds required. Prior experience using 4-wheel drive vehicle preferred.

Job Title:  Summer Day Camp Counselor

Position Information:  Part-time Seasonal

The Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation Department is seeking self-motivated and outgoing individuals for the summer seasonal position of: 

Summer Day Camp Counselor:  Duties include supervision of children ages 5-12 in a closely supervised camp setting.  Candidates must be 18 years or older.  This position involves a great deal of interaction and supervision with children in outdoor settings.  Previous camp experience preferred.
