11th Annual Flounder Surf Fishing Tournament

Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation and The Reel Outdoors are sponsoring the 2017 Flounder Fishing tournament to kick off the surf-fishing and beach driving season that starts September 15.  The tournament will run from 8 a.m. Saturday, September 16 until 5 p.m. September 30 .  Registration is FREE and the Reel Outdoors will be providing prizes for the top three anglers!

Registration will last from August 14 until September 14, ending at 5 p.m. each day. The Reel Outdoors is the official weigh-in station.  All flounders must be caught by fishing on foot (surf, pier, inlet, sound) from Fort Macon to Emerald Isle. Dr. Bogue Free Surf Fishing Seminar

Dr. Bogus will be offering a free seminar on Monday, October 2 at 6pm.  Learn about speckled trout surf fishing from one of the area’s most renowned experts.  At the Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation Department Community Center.  For more information, contact (252) 354-6350.


15th Annual Gordie McAdams Speckled Trout Surf Fishing Tournament

Emerald Isle Parks and Recreation and The Reel Outdoors are sponsoring the 15th Annual Gordie McAdams Speckled Trout Surf Fishing Tournament.  The tournament will run from 8am Saturday, October 14th – November 25th, 2017.  Registration is FREE and the Reel Outdoors will be providing prizes for the top 3 anglers!  Registration is September 12th - October 12th.
