Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Event - April 10

The following information has been published by Carteret County


The Coastal Environmental Partnership will host a Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Event for Carteret County on Saturday, April 10. This event will run from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Carteret County Health Department, 3820 Bridges Street, Morehead City.

Accepted Materials: Used motor oil, lawn and garden fertilizer and pesticides, farm pesticides, gasoline, drain openers, paint thinners, cooking oil, anti-freeze and batteries and latex and oil paints. Each vehicle will be limited to 10 gallons of paint.

Non-Acceptable Materials: Gas cylinders, explosives, ammunition, infectious, biological or radioactive wastes or commercial waste.

No mystery cans! Everything must be labeled or easily identified.

We will be following Covid-19 guidelines: You will be asked to remain in your vehicle at all times. We will remove your items from your vehicle. We will follow Social Distancing guidelines and ask you to not to put your windows down further than 4 inches. Employees and volunteers will be wearing masks.
