Public Notice of Unclaimed Property
And Notice of Sale

Pursuant to the provisions of North Carolina General Statutes 15-12 through 15-16, this notice of unclaimed property and notice of sale is published to advise any person or persons who may have or claim to have any interest in the property listed below that they must report that claim to the Emerald Isle Police Department on or before Tuesday, July 17, 2018, within thirty (30) days of the date of first publication of this advertisement.

The Town of Emerald Isle will sell by electronic auction all listed unclaimed items as grouped lots beginning Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 9:00 am.  The website address to view and bid on the auction start date is www.govdeals.com., or you may visit the Town’s website at www.emeraldisle-nc.org/online-auctions.  The right is reserved to delete or “No Sale” any item(s).   All items sold “as-is” “where-is”, all sales final.  The property being offered for sale includes the items described as follows:

Notice of Public Hearing
Amendment of the Town of Emerald Isle CAMA Land Use Plan

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners for the Town of Emerald Isle will conduct a public hearing on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 6:00 PM, or as close thereafter as possible to review an amendment to the Town’s Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) Land Use Plan.  The meeting will be held in the Town Board Meeting Room, 7500 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle, NC.  All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.

Following the public hearing, the Board of Commissioners will consider adoption of the Land Use Plan amendment.  Once adopted, the Land Use Plan will be submitted to the Coastal Resources Commission for certification. 

Written objections or comments, shall be submitted to the Division of Coastal Area Management Planer, Rachel Love-Adrick, 400 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City, NC 28557 no more than 30 calendar days after local adoption of the amendment.  Further information can be obtained by contacting the District Planner, at 252-808-2808.
