Town of Emerald Isle
Public Notice of Unclaimed Property
And Notice of Disposition

Pursuant to the provisions of North Carolina General Statutes 15-12 through 15-16, this notice of unclaimed property and notice of disposition is published to advise any person or persons who may have or claim to have any interest in the property listed below that they must report that claim to the Emerald Isle Police Department on or before Tuesday, March 7, 2017 within thirty (30) days of the date of first publication of this advertisement.

The Town of Emerald Isle will donate all bicycles that remain unclaimed after 30 days of the posting of this notice to The Salvation Army, a charitable organization exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  The unclaimed property includes bicycles more specifically described as follows:   

  • Raleigh Earth Cruiser, Blue in color w/ Blk seat, mens 26”
  • Magna Glacier Point, Purple in color, 15 speed
  • Yukon Giant, Gray in color 20” mens mountain style
  • Huffy “Nel Lusso” cruiser style, Brown in color 26”
  • Jamis Earth Cruiser, painted Purple in color
  • Boys BMX style bike, Avigo 180 18”, Green in color
  • Schwinn Sidewinder, Blue in color
  • Electra Cruiser 1, beach cruiser style, Army Green in color
  • Huffy Regatta, womens, 26”, Light Blue in color
  • Schwinn Ranger 2.6, Black and Silver in color
  • Mongoose Edge 2.1, mens, 7 speed, Gray in color

                The property may be viewed for thirty (30) days beginning Monday, February 6, 2017 by contacting Police Lieutenant Bill Bailey, Emerald Isle Police Department at 252-354-2021.   The period for claiming the property listed above expires on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.
