Special Ceremony to Honor Departing Commissioner Hoover's and Commissioner Wootten's Service on the Board of Commissioners

Please join us on December 8 at 4 pm at the Emerald Isle Public Boating Access Area (near mile marker 18 on NC 58) to honor the long and dedicated service of Commissioner Tom Hoover, Jr. and Commissioner John Wootten.

Commissioner Wootten has served for 14 years, and is the 2nd longest serving elected official in the history of Emerald Isle.  Commissioner Hoover has served for 13 years, and is the 5th longest serving elected official in the Town's history.  Both have been instrumental in moving the Town forward during their time on the Board of Commissioners, and both have worked hard to balance fiscal responsibility with continued improvement in the quality of life in Emerald Isle.

The Town is pleased to honor their service on December 8, and extends an invitation to the public to join us for this special ceremony.  Hope to see you there!

Tom Hoover, Jr.           John Wootten
