Point Ramp Access Update:
As of Tuesday, October 4, repairs have been made to The Point beach driving access ramp. This ramp is now open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The Blackskimmer and Dogleg beach access ramps are also open to the public, as of October 2.

Beach Driving Update:
Following the local impact of Hurricane Ian, the Town of Emerald Isle will open two of three beach driving access ramps on Sunday, October 2. The Blackskimmer and Dogleg ramps will be open to the public.
The Point ramp will remain closed today. Emerald Isle Public Works will make repairs to the ramp on Monday, October 3.
Town staff will do their best to open The Point access area late Monday or the morning of Tuesday, October 4.
Drivers are reminded to stay off the dunes and avoid sections of beach that may be washed out.
